Currently, I am in search of forms that follow an evolving functionality. I mix sawdust with clay to make the perfect material for porous-walled sculptures. They hold water until fully saturated before releasing the liquid drip by drip. Porous bowls acquire bold hued rings as pigmented water evaporates. The bowls contents deepen in hue as colorless water finds its way through the stone walls. This process continues to be generative as the escaped water interacts with the surrounding environment.
